The “Ayurveda by Giardino” philosophy is based on ancient Far Eastern wisdom adapted to Western needs and standards. Guests are provided with holistic well-being for the body and mind which goes far beyond the classic concept of wellness.

Just like the hotels themselves, the ayurvedic programmes, individual treatments and nutrition counselling in “Ayurveda by Giardino” are based on a Mediterranean dolce vita. Enjoyment and a sense of ease are part of every stay. The special programmes consist of individual tri-dosha meals, specially tailored therapeutic treatments, guided yoga and mindfulness sessions. This all serves to remove detrimental toxins, stimulate the body’s self-healing powers and rejuvenate the tissue, restoring balance to both the body and mind in a completely natural way. Following the stay, guests are shown how to integrate what they have learned into their everyday lives, in order to ensure lasting effects.

Ayurveda specialist Florence Steger cares for guests at the 5-star hotels of the Swiss Giardino Group in Ascona and St. Moritz. With a Bachelor’s degree in Complementary Therapy and expertise in Complementary Therapists’ examinations, she established her foundation through a four-year education at the European Academy for Ayurveda and the Heilpraktiker School HPS in Lucerne. Her focus includes healthy eating, detox, weight reduction, and holistic therapy to guide guests during health weeks, promoting self-awareness for sustainable changes in their daily lives. Her motto: live mindfully.

Each ayurvedic programme begins with a medical history consultation where the individual’s personal constitution and health issues to be treated are determined. A personal treatment plan is put together based on this analysis.
