Giardino Hotels are all located in the most beautiful destinations in Switzerland. From the alpine town of St. Moritz down to the Mediterranean region of Ticino and all the way to Ascona and Locarno by Lake Maggiore, guests are simply spoilt for choice.
The Giardino Group comprises three exclusive properties:
- Giardino Ascona: a 5-star hotel by Lake Maggiore with Mediterranean flair.
- Giardino Mountain: a modern 5-star hotel in the Engadin Mountains near St. Moritz
- Giardino Lago: a boutique hotel in Minusio near Locarno, right by Lake Maggiore.
For the summer, the Giardino Mountain in Champfèr offers a no-star bed & breakfast concept that meets the needs of summer guests.

About Giardino Hotels
Giardino fosters a relaxed, authentic first-name culture – from the CEO to apprentices, communication takes place on equal footing. The company values flat hierarchies, team spirit, and an atmosphere that feels like home. Interactions with guests and colleagues are warm, professional, and never forced.
The employment relationship is subject to the Swiss collective labour agreement for the hospitality industry.
Weekly working hours: 43.5 hours
Organisation: 5 working days + 2 days off
Time tracking: electronic system via fingerprint
Overtime: compensated or paid out in accordance with applicable legislation.
Unused hours or vacation days are calculated and paid out at the end of the employment relationship.

Yes, depending on the position and department, Giardino provides the appropriate work clothing. Work clothing and styling guidelines are part of the Giardino look and underline the brand’s stylish and well-groomed appearance.
Depending on the department, different requirements apply regarding clothing and shoes. In some departments, such as the kitchen, private work clothing may be worn in some cases, but it is cleaned internally by the hotel’s own laundry service.
Giardino offers traineeships in three areas: Kitchen Trainee, Service Trainee and Front Office Trainee. Enrollment at a hotel management school recognised by the L-GAV is required, as well as enthusiasm for the hotel and gastronomy industry. Trainees receive benefits from partner companies and discounts at Giardino Hotels as well as at Design Hotels™.
For a traineeship at Giardino, you must be enrolled at a hotel management school recognised by the L-GAV and have a passion for the hotel and gastronomy industry.
Giardino offers three EFZ apprenticeships: Hotel Communication Specialist EFZ. as well as Cook EFZ. The apprenticeships are aimed at people close to finishing school who would like to apply the theoretical knowledge from vocational school in the practical environment of a luxury hotel.
Giardino offers good entry-level and career advancement opportunities within flat hierarchies. After a Traineeshipstraineeship or apprenticeship, many doors are open to employees across all areas of a hotel – from kitchen and service to front office and spa, as well as administration and management. There are success stories such as progressing from career changer to General Manager.
The areas of work are diverse: kitchen and gastronomy, restaurant service, bar and lounge, front office and reservations, dipiù Spa and wellness, Aveda Hair Salon, housekeeping, accounting and administration, marketing and PR, as well as management.
