Winter and ski vacations in St. Moritz
High up and low down, with sweeping views and a clear head: the Engadin is quite sporty by nature and an ideal terrain for activities and training at every level. Activity-hungry vacationers and athletes will find an abundance of groomed trails and slopes in one of the most captivating natural settings in Switzerland.
Snow? Check.
Panoramic scenery? Check.
The ski area around St. Moritz has a rich sporting history. The town became world famous when it hosted the Olympic Games and World Ski Championships. It doesn’t take much to host such events: just perfect snow and a breathtaking backdrop. And it has those in abundance. Thanks to its altitude and modern snow-making systems, the area is known as one where you can reliably find snow. On the slopes, cross-country ski trails or by the lake – snow sports enthusiasts will find perfect conditions wherever they go. The Engadin is a sporting winter wonderland, and the Giardino Mountain sits right at the heart of it. The mountain is calling!
Cross-Country Skiing
Classic cross-country skiing is a thing of the past—today, it’s all about skating or Nordic cruising. Glide through the winter wonderland on over 230 km of trails, using dynamic and powerful movements on narrow skis.
Fun for the Whole Family
The bathtub is enthroned on the sun terrace of the Diavolezza mountain restaurant and offers an unobstructed view of the Bernina massif and Piz Palü. The water bubbles at a pleasant 41 degrees, while the air temperature can quickly drop towards the evening up at 3,000 meters, giving the bathing fun an adventurous touch – until the waiter in the white bathrobe signals the end of the stimulating circulatory pleasure.
Heliskiing
Untouched snow and absolute silence. First, soar over the majestic Alps in an Airbus helicopter with Mountain Flyers, then carve your way through pristine deep powder on empty slopes.
Skiing & Snowboarding
With 88 slopes across the four major ski areas—Corviglia/Piz Nair, Corvatsch, Diavolezza/Lagalb, and Zuoz—as well as five smaller resorts, winter sports enthusiasts are spoiled for choice.
