Healthy mind, healthy body: Yoga and Ayurveda are so-called “twin philosophies”, they complement and support each other. Ayurveda offers a holistic system of medicine, which with its preventive character is integrated into everyday life and can support and heal in case of illness. Yoga asanas are postures and sitting positions that improve and strengthen the body’s natural energy flow and release blockages. Thus, the body functions optimally even in long-held asanas and the yogi can concentrate on his meditation and spiritual development.

The yoga therapists at Giardino use this ancient knowledge. In the morning yoga classes, the musculoskeletal system is strengthened through strength and stretching exercises, and energy is brought into flow; the accompanying element of breath activates the lungs and balances the nervous system. This holistic strengthening for body and mind not only supports yogis but can help everyone to powerfully master everyday life.
