For our Soul Retreat Giardino Ascona as well for our Private Retreat Giardino Lago in Minusio-Locarno, and our Power Retreat Giardino Mountain in Champfèr-St. Moritz we are looking to fill the following position, starting approx. from April 2025:
Head Florist
As head florist, you will be responsible for the design and execution of floral and plant arrangements throughout the hotel to create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for guests. You will work closely with the hotel management and other departments to ensure that the floral decorations reflect the style and brand of the hotel. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and contribute to the overall experience of hotel guests. Your creative skills and botanical knowledge will be crucial to the success of the hotel’s interior design and guest satisfaction.

- Creating floral arrangements: design and create artistic floral arrangements and plant decorations for public areas such as the lobby, restaurants, banquet rooms, spa and guest rooms.
- Plant care: oversee all hotel plants, including watering, fertilising and pest control to ensure they remain healthy and beautiful.
- Budget management: create and manage a budget for the purchase of flowers and plants, as well as for materials and tools.
- Supplier management: coordinate with flower suppliers to obtain high quality flowers and materials and ensure that orders are received on time.
- Developing decoration concepts: working with hotel management and event organisers to develop and implement decoration concepts for special occasions, events and weddings.

- Complete training or certificate in floriculture.
- Experience in designing flower arrangements and plant care.
- Creativity and good aesthetic eye for designing flower arrangements.
- Ability to manage budgets.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Knowledge of caring for different types and varieties of plants.
- Communication skills for working with other hotel departments and guests.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, especially during busy periods and events.
